Wal-Mart Black Friday Ad Leaked

CNN announced this morning that they have received a copy of Wal-Mart’s Black Friday ad, considered the most anticipated ad from the Arkansas based discount retailer.
Black Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year in the US. Retailers all over the nation drop prices on high-end items to entice customers through their doors. Wal-Mart is counting on this year’s Black Friday to help them boost sales that have lagged over the past year.
In an unlikely scenario, Wal-Mart has actually lost some market share this year to the lower priced and often lower quality stores. This is in response to the increase in prices that hit most of the Wal-Mart locations as wholesale distributors struggled to stay afloat in the tough economic times.
Part of the draw for Wal-Mart this year will be greatly reduced prices on the most popular electronics. The Black Friday ad reveals that Wal-Mart will offer the iPod Touch for $225 and also have a wide array of televisions, including plasmas and LCD screens for well below the standard prices.
For the younger crowd Wal-Mart will reduce the price on hundreds of video game titles to $7 and $8 per title. This will surely attract a crowd as the price of video games has skyrocketed over the years with many titles topping out at nearly $100 when first released.
The Black Friday deals for Wal-Mart will be tiered as well. The sale will begin at midnight with special deals and the following morning starting at 5 a new phase of the sale will kick in, keeping the shoppers interested.
