The Walking Dead Has Television Teeth

Last night AMC premiered their new spooky horror drama The Walking Dead.
Based on the hit comic book of the same name, The Walking Dead seems to have set the stage for a new genre in television productions. Once a subject only Hollywood could tackle, AMC is beating that zombies will rule the day with their new show.
AMC made the bold move to premiere their new horror show on Halloween night. The story follows a police officer, Rick Grimes, who wakes up from a coma and finds out that things are not exactly as they were.
A deadly virus has spread throughout the world, making the living into flesh devouring zombies. There are a few survivors, scattered across the landscape, who are making a stand against the masses. Very much like previous zombie films, the undead can only be killed again by a bullet to the brain.
During the early goings a familiar face springs up. Lennie James, a former star in another post-apocalyptic drama. James starred as Robert Hawkins, a covert agent in Jericho. Jericho was a hit with fans but was cancelled by NBC for low ratings. Fans then buried NBC in peanuts, bringing the show back for a second season.
Thus far the reviews of The Walking Dead have been positive. AMC tends to break new ground with their shows, often leaving fans begging for more. It appears that The Walking Dead will follow in the footsteps of their other hit series.
