Saints Power Enough to Hold Cowboys
By Gabriela MooreNov 26 2010
The Dallas Cowboys played their annual Thanksgiving game yesterday against the New Orleans Saints, meant to be a turning point for the struggling team.
However, in the end the Saints proved too tough for the Dallas despite the scoring rally that the Cowboys took part in early on. The team was actually starting to move the ball down the field really well but some defensive mistakes early on cost them the game.
Taking into account the fact that the Cowboys were down from the very beginning, they managed to score an additional two touchdowns before the time ran out. From that point the Cowboys returned to their old ways by losing the ball through fumbles on two occasions.
Jerry Jones was shown throughout the televised game several times and appeared to be happy with his interim coach Jason Garrett. But the Cowboys were counting on a big upset for the game and ended up heading home with yet another loss to their already pathetic record.
Still the Cowboys have already improved since their time with Wade Phillips, something that many did not believe would ever happen. That means that the Cowboys could win a few more games before the end of the season. But their hopes of any post season play have been all but dashed this year.
For the Cowboys the next two games will be key as the team seeks to find some winning combinations. This will be coupled with some major player moves in the upcoming off-season period.
