The famed television network MTV announced this morning that they will reboot a former hit show, Beavis and Butthead, and once again start showing music videos to the US subscribers.

Beavis and Butthead was a cartoon program that premiered in the 1990’s and broke all of the rules. It featured two sex obsessed teenage boys who found themselves in a host of different situations that often got them into trouble.

The show was highly criticized for its portrayal of American teens and for the situations in which they found themselves. The basis for the entire show was the characters hoping to have sex with a woman at some point, as well as drinking, smoking and other such issues of the day.

The creator of Beavis and Butthead, Mike Judge, went on to create the primetime hit King of the Hill, which ran for 17 seasons before Fox decided to cancel it. He will return to create the new programs for Beavis and Butthead with MTV.

Dozens of celebrities have already lined up for a chance to appear in the programs. Mike Judge is well-known for lining up hot names to appear in his programs. It was considered a point of honor to appear in an episode of King of the Hill for most A-list celebs and Judge is hoping to carry that over into the new Beavis and Butthead episodes.

The network plans to add the cartoon to their lineup for the Spring season.
