Man Removed from Boston Flight

US Airways officials confirmed this morning that an unruly passenger was removed from a Boston flight for refusing to turn off his cell phone and take his seat.
According to the police reports, the man was in an agitated state when he boarded the airplane this morning and was having a heated conversation with someone on his cell phone.
The flight attendants told the man that he would need to hang up from his call and take his seat. The man refused several times to comply with the order and airport police were called to remove him from the plane.
Several passengers said that the man’s carryon luggage was making strange noises and they feared that he may have brought a bomb on board. The man’s luggage was also removed and no threat was found when the bags were checked.
The passenger was arrested on charges of disrupting a flight, disorderly conduct, and refusing to obey flight crews, all misdemeanors. The man will be arraigned in a Boston court later today and then allowed to post bond.
The flight was scheduled to leave Boston this morning and fly directly to Washington DC. The flight was delayed by over an hour thanks to the unruly passenger.
Airport officials said that the man was arguing with a loved one and was not certain he wanted to fly to Washington. After his removal from the plane he apologized to the crew and to the other passengers for his behavior.
