License Denied for California AIDS Clinic

A California AIDS clinic that caters to the adult film industry said today that the state had denied their application for a community health license.

The clinic in question became famous for identifying Patient Zeta, an adult film actor who tested positive for HIV while working on a film.

The state informed the clinic that they would need a community health license to continue operations despite the fact that the clinic is not open to the public. However, the state then denied the application. Thus far the clinic has remained open despite the denial.

Patient Zeta, real name Derrick Burts, has rallied against the clinic and the adult film industry for his treatment. He claims that he started in the industry by answering an ad on Craigslist. He was then told to report to a modeling agency where he was hired to act in films.

Burts said that he started out in gay porn and then moved to acting in both gay and straight films. He created two different aliases so he could continue to work in both industries. While shooting the gay films he said that condoms were always required. He was told that the regular HIV testing made him safe during the straight shoots.

It was just a few months later that he tested positive for HIV. He is now rallying for the mandatory use of condoms in all porn films to protect other actors from suffering from his same fate.
