iPad 2 Slated for April Release
By Lucy MitchellDec 8 2010
A business report from US tech giant Apple slipped out of the normal chain today and it leaked the important announcement that the iPad 2 is set to be released in April 2011.
While the iPad has been one of the most successful of all the tablet computers on the market, there have been some problems that users would like to see fixed. It would appear that Apple has listened to these requests because they are releasing the second version of the device less than a year from the first release.
This is good news for the tech lovers of the world who are hungry to find a device that will counter the issues of the first. Topping the list of the known issues would be the camera. The iPad does not have a front facing camera which eliminates the ability to use the popular FaceTime chat feature.
There are also some operating system concerns that have plagued the device since release. Apple was able to solve some of them with their recent update that encompassed some 458 different patches to their various operating systems.
Rounding out the problems would be the apps. There are but a handful of applications that are available for the iPad currently because it works on a different platform then the iPhone system.
Thus the tech lovers are hoping that the new iPad 2 will be up to date and allow the tablet device to run all applications that will currently run on the iPhone system.
