Hulu Plus out of Preview and Cheaper

Hulu Plus was launched earlier this year in preview mode for $9.99 a month but today the service was launched for the entire US with the lower price of $7.99.
Hulu has been fighting against competitors like Netflix for the past several years, trying to remain a relevant source in the market. They have been often criticized for their extreme pricing plans and now it appears that they have done something about it.
Hulu is actually a free service for the most part unless a person wishes to upgrade to the Hulu Plus service. Under the upgraded service, users have access to far more programs including full seasons of their favorite shows that they can watch at their leisure.
Under the free system there is a limited number of shows that can be viewed and complete seasons are not available. Users can upgrade to the Hulu Plus service with the Roku device, which will stream the television program directly to their television.
The service is also streamed through the Playstation 3, similar to the service that is offered by Netflix. However, Netflix has upgraded their system to allow all major video game consoles to act as Netflix ready devices.
With the new offerings in premium programming, such as Google TV and Apple TV, Hulu is struggling to stay alive. Industry experts have said that the price drop for the Hulu Plus service will go a long way towards attracting new subscribers and boosting their customer base.
