Brett Favre, Minnesota Vikings quarterback and future hall of famer, told reporters that he plans to enjoy retirement now that the season has ended.

Favre was speaking with reporters who were asking about his plans with the team. At this point, according to his statements, he has no plans. Favre said that he will not return to the team for the next season and will fully retire this time around.

Now many fans and players said that they have heard it all before. For the past two years Favre has been stating that he will retire, only to return for the next season as soon as spring training is complete.

But many believe this year is a bit different. Favre has suffered through two major injuries and a scandal that rocked his entire home life.

Favre is still recovering from the concussion that he suffered at the hands of the Chicago Bears two weeks ago. As such he missed the last two games of the season. He found out last week that the NFL had levied a $50,000 fine stemming from the Jenn Sterger investigation.

Friends of the quarterback along with several family members have said that they also believe that Favre is finished. He told SI.com that he is ready to retire after 20 years and no longer feels compelled to play football.

Most sports writers believe that Favre will be inducted into the NFL hall of fame as soon as he qualifies, which is three years after official retirement.
