The Chicago Bears managed to clinch their position in the Division playoffs last night after steamrolling over the Minnesota Vikings.

Last night was certainly not one that would live in the fond memories of Vikings fans all over the US. The Vikings fell to the Bears 40-14, which was devastatingly difficult for the team to swallow.

The main issue for the Vikings was the turnovers. They managed to turn over the ball five times during the game, most often blamed on a lack of defense while protecting the quarterback.

Now that the Bears have clinched their division title, they will move on to the playoffs and compete for a spot at the Super Bowl. However, the Vikings will limp home and try to find the magic that they once enjoyed under Brett Favre.

But the issue at hand for the Vikings is their leadership. Brad Childress started out the season as the head coach but was fired after the devastating loss to Green Bay last month.

Leslie Frazier took over as interim coach and he is auditioning to take over as the full-time head coach. But the performance thus far has been well below par. Frazier managed to win the first two games after taking the helm but the damage done by a 41-year-old quarterback and some bad trades created too much of a problem for the team.

With only one more game left in the season the Vikings will certainly not look back on this season fondly.
