A new report, released yesterday, shows that US hotels have been revamping their rooms to better accommodate business travelers.

Travel for business has been the only savior for the travel industry since 9/11. When tourist travel dipped to nearly nothing, business people from all over the US needed to still move from place to place. As such the airlines and travel companies have treated their business travelers well.

Today things are getting a little better for those that are hitting the skies for business. Hotels all over the US have started to revamp their rooms to better suit the needs of their most powerful guests.

Most hotels have started adding bigger desks, free broadband internet and easy to access power outlets. The last item was one of the major complaints that the hotels needed to address. Most business travelers complained that they were tired of having to fish behind furniture to find a power outlet to plug-in their electronic devices.

This new push is an obvious ploy to increase market share for the busy business traveler. Most hotels realize that keeping their business travelers happy means that they will return and also tell their associates about the way that they have been treated.

Some of the higher end hotels in the largest cities have also started offering free car services to their room packages. This is making it easier for the travelers to find their way to meetings and so on in strange locations.
