Demi Lovato Rep Denies Drug Treatment

Last month Demi Lovato left the US Jonas Brothers tour to seek treatment for emotional and physical issues and today her rep is still trying to quiet rumors of substance abuse.

The star of Disney’s Sonny with a Chance, has been in a treatment facility for the past several weeks. There have been no reports on the actual reasons why she is seeking treatment but the hints were in place after Lovato was involved in a physical altercation with a dancer on her stage show.

Many have commended the young star for having the courage to leave the tour and seek help for her issues. However, rumors continue to swirl about possible drug problems with the young star.

Lovato’s rep has been busy trying to keep the image of his client in a positive light. He went as far as to call The View in the middle of a broadcast to set the record straight with Whoopi Goldberg who claimed that Lovato was seeking drug treatment.

Other problems have surfaced recently, including photos that allegedly show Lovato in compromising positions while using cocaine and drinking alcohol. Lovato is underage so most of the major media outlets refused to run the photos.

Disney has said that the treatment may end the popular television series that Lovato is best known for. They announced that they are concerned with her health before anything and will make arrangements for replacement series if necessary.

There is no official word on where Lovato is seeking her treatment.
